(go directly to the help section of the form, "Lithium-ion : Capacity")
Before going further, one shall remind that in PVSyst the nominal capacity is defined as the capacity of a battery that would be discharged in 10 hours (noted C10)
The correction of capacity according to the discharge rate is done through the peukert coefficient . There are 2 possibilities to do the correction, depending of if the rate of discharge is expressed in Amps or in Hours :
Discharge rate in Amps |
Capacity(DischRateAmps) = CapNomC10 . (DischRateAmpsRef / DischRateAmps) ^ ( (1 - k) / k ) |
Discharge rate in Hours |
Capacity(DischRateHours) = CapNomC10 . (DischRateHours / DischRateHoursRef) ^ (1 - k) |
with :
CapNomC10 = |
the nominal capacity, defined for the discharge time of 10 hours |
DischRateAmpsRef = |
the reference discharge rate, in [Amps] |
DischRateHoursRef = |
the reference discharge rate, 10 [hours] |
DischRateAmps = |
the discharge rate, in [Amps] |
DischRateHours = |
the discharge rate, in [Hours] |
