SFI File Format

Description

The SFI File Format has been created to define a format for the simulation output CSV file.

It contains information about:

• a custom output filename
• the CSV separator, or fixed-width value
• the decimal separator
• the date and time formats
• the type of values (houry, daily, monthly)
• the Power and Irradiance units
• the list of variables which will be output to the CSV file

Format

The SFI format is a proprietary file format which should not be generated outside PVsyst for compatibility matters.

How to create an SFI file in PVsyst

• Open the Advanced simulation > Output file dialog
• Define all parameters here
• Select the output variables in the tree
• Click on (Save as Template)
• Give a name to the output SFI file (which will be stored in the current workspace)
• Click on Save
